The night before the first day

Everyone arrives here mid-sentence.

No one's story starts at the shelter door. Maya House gives adults six to twenty-four months of structure, coordinated services, and accountability — enough time to finish the sentence themselves.

Who we serve
Move-in day

A lease is the start. Keeping it is the work.

Maya House is the structured support — six to twenty-four months of it — that turns a placement into a home that holds: rent, case management, and the small emergencies that decide whether someone stays.

Stability a life can stand on.

Structure, support, and the time to build a life — so the people we serve don't just get housed, they stay housed.

From a shelter to a home is six to twenty-four months of support.

The problem

The housing gap is not abstract. It is measured.

The gap we fill

Housing doesn’t hold without structure first. Maya House is that structure.

Most people leaving shelters or incarceration don’t need a door so much as a bridge. Without structure and support in the first months, a placement doesn’t last — and the cycle repeats. Maya House is the structured bridge in between — six to twenty-four months where a placement becomes a home that holds.

The gap

What the system misses

Motivation is not the barrier

People facing homelessness are navigating layered obstacles: instability, recovery needs, justice involvement, and thin access to support.

Shelter was never the answer

Emergency and short-term programs are built for triage — not for healing, reintegration, or keeping housing once it is found.

Maya House sits in between

A structured bridge from emergency response to permanent housing — services attached, expectations clear, progress documented.

The model

From the first night to the first lease.

Five phases · 6–24 months
Phase 01
Stabilization

A safe bed, a locked door, and someone who knows your name.

Phase 02
Structured support

Routines that hold. Case planning that expects something of you.

Phase 03
Life skills

Budgets, documents, appointments, cooking on a Tuesday.

Phase 04
Community integration

Work, care, and people outside these walls.

Phase 05
Independent living

Their own place — and our number still in their phone.

Accountability

We publish what we measure

Metrics will be collected at entry, during the program, at completion, and at intervals after exit. The question that will matter most is whether residents are still housed a year later.
